MOBERLY LAKE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

NUTRITION POLICY 2008/2009

1. School policy governing the sale and distribution of food items during school events will be based on nutrition guidelines and information available from the Northern Health Authority and the Province of British Columbia.


2. Moberly will provide educational programs for students that promote health and nutrition. All food and beverages sold and distributed will be reflective of nutrition education. Moberly will continue to be a pop-free school.


3. Moberly's Nutrition Policy will reflect the recommended food selection chart provided by the Northern Health Authority.


4. Moberly will promote the serving of foods from the "serve most" and "serve sometimes" lists.
