SD 59 Celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day

Today, School District 59 celebrated National Indigenous Peoples Day by having a Zoom celebration around the District.  Classes linked in for an hour to watch jigging with Bev Lambert, singing with Kim Gouchie, and numerous student presenters from Dawson Creek and area, Tumbler Ridge and Chetwynd in a celebration of Indigenous culture.  There were approximately 2500 people celebrating with us.

Thank you to the students, staff, trustees and Indigenous Advisory Council Members of SD59 for joining us for our first ever district wide Zoom celebration for National Indigenous Peoples Day.
