SD59 employee named as a Finalist for 2022 Premier's Award

Congratulations to Lynne Brissard in being named a finalist for the 2022 Premier's Awards for Excellence in Education.  Lynne was nominated by a colleague for her outstanding contribution to students at Chetwynd Secondary School.  In her role as an Educational Assistant, Lynne exemplifies the qualities of an educational leader that consistently contributes to a healthy, safe and productive school community and is always putting the needs of students first.

Lynne has a generous ability to connect with everyone and to honour where each student is in their journey.  Not only does Lynne help students to grow in their academic skills, she is also very in tune with their social and emotional needs.  She is a friendly face, a never-ending support for all students and staff, and a wealth of experience and ideas

The Premier's Awards for Excellence in Education was launched in 2018, the awards honour public, independent and First Nations school teachers, principals, vice-principals, school and district leaders, and support staff who go above and beyond to make life better for K-12 students in B.C. This year, 10 awards will be given. The award winners will be announced at a ceremony at Government House in Victoria on October 14, 2022.
