COVID 19 School Exposure

April 13th, 2021

To the Parents, Guardians, and School Community:

Northern Health Authority has informed us that a COVID-19 exposure has been identified in Dawson Creek Secondary School – South Peace Campus.  The exposure occurred on March 29th – April 1st, 2021.  Please be reassured that the current COVID safety plans in our school, when followed correctly, is very effective in preventing transmission.

The safety and well-being of our students, families, and staff remains our highest priority. Please be reassured that our school will continue to implement the strict protocols and procedures we have in place so that children can continue to attend school as safely as possible.

Northern Health has asked that you monitor your child/children for symptoms until April 15th, 2021 midnight (which is 14 days from the last date of possible contact with the confirmed case).

If you have any health-related questions, please contact Northern Health as per the attached letter.

We ask for your patience at this time.

Take care,

Josh Kurjata
