Transitioning to Kindergarten

Kindergarten Registration Poster 2019 Will your child be 5 by December 30? It is time to register your child in kindergarten.

In the spring before starting kindergarten, four and five year old children and their parents/caregivers are invited to attend a Welcome to Kindergarten™ orientation at their neighbourhood school where they receive the early learning resources in the Welcome to Kindergarten Bag and learn strategies for using the resources at home. Contact your local elementary school for the WTK date and time.

The Learning Partnership is pleased to announce its free Welcome to Kindergarten™ app that helps pre-kindergarten children develop fundamental skills for a positive start to their school journey. Launched as a pilot last year, this free app was named as one of iTunes Top 50 Early Learning apps in May and has just launched on Android. Through this fun, creative app, children play with alphabet and numbers, paint freely with their fingers, discover shapes, learn to share, and sing along with a music player.
