News

The Board of Education of School District No. 59 (Peace River South) received approval from the Ministry of Education and Child Care for a major capital project that supports a five-class room expansion for Crescent Park Elementary School.

The Ministry has awarded the expansion as part of a pilot project that will utilize sustainable and energy-efficient designs. The Ministry's investment in this project totals $7.5 million.

This is exciting news for Crescent Park families. Crescent Park Elementary School Parent Advisory Council President and Vice President, Kaitlin Sevier and Lisa Meeres stated, “We are thrilled to hear of the expansion to our school! Crescent Park is located in a unique location with being on the edge of a new development area - which means many new families with elementary aged children. We have seen Crescent Park’s student population growing over the years. We are looking forward to being a part of the pilot project and seeing the final results!”
