Athletics

Welcome to DCSS Central Campus Athletics. There are wide variety of options available for students at Central Campus, on teams based here or at South Peace.

Fall (September – November)

Volleyball:  Our volleyball teams have experienced good success in the past few years, winning tournaments in Grande Prairie, Fort St. John, and Prince George. For more information, contact JoAnne Malkinson.

Cross-Country Running: available for both boys and girls, this team is based out of South Peace campus, coached by Mr. Wolf.

Soccer: for boys only (girls in the Spring), this Senior-level team runs out of South Peace campus, coached by Mr. Eichelberger.

Swimming: currently available for Grade 9 boys and girls, the DCSS swim team is coached by Mr. Wolf, and runs from October to mid-November.

 

Winter (December – February)

Basketball- our basketball teams have also had success in recent years, coming 1st or 2nd in multiple Grande Prairie and Fort St. John tournaments. This year we had five different teams for both girls and boys.  For more information, contact Ms. Malkinson.

Spring (March – May)

Track & Field: available for both boys and girls, this team is based out of South Peace campus, coached by Mr. Wolf.

Badminton: boys and girls in all grades are welcome to participate in DCSS Badminton.  Practices are Monday and Wednesday, from 3-4:30 starting after spring break.  Contact Ms. Malkinson for more information.

Erase Bullying

Erase is all about building safe and caring school communities. This includes empowering students, parents, educators and the community partners who support them to get help with challenges, report concerns to schools, and learn about complex issues facing students.
