The Ministry of Infrastructure connected with the president of the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology (NVIT), John Chenoweth, as they have a mobile trades training unit. NVIT is the only First Nations public post-secondary institution in British Columbia. NVIT has graciously offered to lend the mobile trades training unit to the district for the rest of the school year. It will arrive in Tumbler Ridge in the coming days with an instructor who will orient school district staff to the operations of the trailer. The trailer will be located in the Phase 2 plan.
